I have been reading for a while, but I thought I would finally write in. I found a sign I thought you guy could investigate. It is at 200 West 50th St. It is an add for Snickers above the subway entrance.

the sign is NOT illegal. it is a c6-7 zone which allows for advertising signs.

Sorry I guess the picture didn't go through last time. It looks big probably 20' by 40'.

There is NO size restriction in a c6-7 zone.

It's hard to say what the exact address is here, but it looks like there are a couple questionable signs on that block. One is a big billboard on the corner of 7th and Broadway - and it looks like there is already a complaint in about that one:

But I think the one you are talking about it mid-block. It's a massive vinyl wrap. It looks like the one you are talking about has a complaint in here:

You can track them through the DOB site. I don't think it's as cut and dry as BIZ does, but we'll see if the DoB ever gets around to investigating them. There certainly appear to be no permits, which is usually a fishy place to start.

wait, I take that back, there are some permits for #200 issued in 1995
But for a "ILLUMINATED ROOF SIGN ON STRCTURE AS PER APPLIC. 100906352 INSIDE PROPER
Y LINE FLEX FACE ROOF SIGN."Not for the vinyl face.

Just found this location while doing some research. The location is managed by an outdoor advertising company called InWindow and they show it several times on their site. InWindow has other locations with violations so I wouldn't put it past them...
